June 16, 2022: Plant of the Week- Erigeron speciosus (Showy Fleabane)
Erigeron speciosus, the Showy Fleabane, is a perennial that can grow from 1-2 feet tall. This plant grows best in moist to well drained soil, with part sun. The foliage is slender, green leaves that are in a bunch at the base of the plant. The flowers are daisy like, and are purple/ blue with a yellow center. This plant can be found in prairies and forest openings. This small plant works great for a wall, or paving crevices!
