"Everything you need for a native landscape."

Hello native plant lovers,

As of Sunday, March 22, we have decided to suspend all on-site business activity due to the need to limit the spread of COVID19 virus. This means our native plants stores in Bellingham and at Skagit Building Salvage in Mt. Vernon are closed, and all installation and maintenance activities by our crew will be suspended until further notice.

This decision is not easy, and we have made it voluntarily even before required by the State of Washington as it seems to be the right thing to do. We cannot guarantee that our work related actions will not endanger our workers, clients, or their families.

We have come to the conclusion that the best way to treat this situation is to stop all actions that could have a connection to every other human. Even with wiping down the plant pots with bleach water, curbside pick-up, masks, and cleaning hand tools, it is still possible to spread this virus.

In short, the sooner we take this seriously, the less vulnerable people we unknowingly effect, and the sooner we can begin to rebuild the economy.

Thank you for your understanding and thank you for your past and continued passion and commitment to re-establishing native plants and healing our living planet!

Cheers,

The Plantas nativa team.

Spring 2020–TEMPORARILY CLOSED 3-22-2020

We are now open for the spring!  Plants continue to come in daily and they are looking great!  We continue our goal of providing quality native plants and education to the community here in Whatcom county and beyond!  Today we have just gotten in fresh Mahonia nervosa (low Oregon grape), Polystichum munitum (sword fern), Ribes sanguineum  (Red flowering currant), Camassia quamash (common camas), and Rhododendron occidentale (Western azalea) to name a few.  Many more perennials are on their way as the spring sun gains strength driving off the early spring chill.

-3/19/2020 The Native Plant Store is able to offer,  while they last Bear Grass (Zerophyllum tenax) for 5 dollars a plug and Labrador Tea (Ledum groenlandicum) for 3 dollars a plug, they come in bindles of 5 or can be split apart if need be.  They are very nice plants, check out the sidebar update for images.

*Please note the adjusted hours at the Mount Vernon location, Friday and Saturday 10-5:30pm and Sunday 11-4pm*
