March 2017 Fun

Some fun things happening for the rest of March!

First, look what’s popping up at our nursery! The White Fawn Lily is peaking!!!

AND: St. Patrick’s Day is Friday March 17th!! In honor of the Shamrock, we will be having a one day sale of 10% off all plants orders (based on availability, and cannot be combined with other discounts) at our Bellingham location. So if you think you want some plants, order on Friday March 17th to save 10%.

Also! Store up some water for your garden while the rain is abundant! Your garden will appreciate it when the hot weather comes. To help your garden, for the rest of March, we will give 10% off rainbarrels (while supplies last and cannot be combined with other discounts).

AND! We will be at the Whatcom Conservation District (WCD) Native Plant Sale on March 25th from 9AM-2PM on the campus of Whatcom Community College.
The purpose of Whatcom Conservation District Native Plant Sale is to promote the stewardship and conservation of our natural resources.

ALSO! We still have 5 – about 4’x8′ (size may slightly vary) cedar raised beds from last year. Last years supply is on sale at $150 (until supplies last and cannot be combined with other discounts). We also have 11 new cedar raised beds @ $200.

Want a native plant similar to a Shamrock? We suggest the Wood Sorrel, Oxalis oregana (also referred as the false Shamrock).

Oxalis oregana is a perennial with preferences to moist soil with full to part shade. It grows easily through the rhizomatous stem. The flowers generally are white and sometimes pink.

Perhaps a Gnome could find a good home with your Oxalis oregana!
