Height: This rhizomatous, perennial can grow up to 3 ft tall.
Habitat: Grows best in dry soil in part shade.
Foliage: Long, lance shaped, green blades.
Flowers: Many small white flowers form feathery plums and bloom May through August.
Natural Habitat: Found in open areas on the Olympic Peninsula.
Why is it good for my garden? Beargrass is a beautiful grass to put in your rock garden or dry spot of your yard. Attracts pollinators.
