Height: This rhizomatous, perennial can grow from 4 to 8 inches tall.

Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Oval to heart shaped, small, thin, veined, green leaves.

Flowers: Yellow flower with purple veins in center bloom March through July.

Fruits: Three sided, oval shaped seed pack.

Natural Habitat: Moist meadows and open forests.

Why is it good for my garden? This violet is a great ground cover for almost any spot. Pretty little leaves and bright yellow flowers. Attracts pollinators.
