Height: This rhizomatous, perennial can grow from 6 to 12 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Oval to heart shaped, small, thin, veined, green leaves.
Flowers: Purple, veined, flower with white centers sometimes bloom April though August.
Fruits: Three sided, oval shaped seed pack.
Natural Habitat: Dry to moist meadows and open forests.
Why is it good for my garden? This violet is a great ground cover for almost any spot. Pretty little leaves and bright purple flowers. Attracts pollinators.
