Height: This deciduous shrub can grow from 3 to 9 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Alternate, oblong, green leaves turn bright yellow in fall.

Flowers: Small pink bell shape flower bloom May through July.

Fruits: Black to purple, round, edible berries.

Bark: Yellow green bark turns to a gray brown color with age.

Natural Habitat: Found in conifer forests.

Why is it good for my garden? Oval-leafed huckleberry has a great shape, good fall color, and delicious berries. This plant will attract pollinators and wildlife.
