Trifolium wormskioldii - Spring, Cow, Salt Marsh Clover

Product Details

Height: This evergreen perennial, rhizomatous, ground cover can grow to 4" tall and in ideal conditions can spread to 2' wide.

Habitat: Grows best in full to part sun and wet to moist soil, but can dry out in summer months.

Foliage: Bright green, oblong to oval leaves grow in clusters of three.

Flowers: Many tube shaped purple to reddish purple flower with white tips bloom in a cluster at the end of the stem in May through September.

Natural Habitat: Found along the coast to moist meadows and stream banks.

Why is it good for my garden? Spring Clover is a nice ground cover to grow in a moist area. Great for pollinators. This plant also has edible stocks and was propagated and harvested for food.
