Height: This deciduous willow grows from 4 to 12 feet tall.
Habitat: This willow grows in wetland areas near pond and rivers and along sandbars.
Foliage: Narrow lance shape blue green leaces
Flowers: Long plum like flowers bloom April to May.
Bark: Red bark
Natural Habitat: Usually occuring east of the Cascade mountains but also along the Columbia river.
Why is it good for my garden? The Coyote Willow is has pretty red bark and is a lower growing willow. It is good wetland area and supports wildlife.
