Height: This trailing shrub or vine can grow from 2 to 6 ft. tall or long.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full sun to full shade.
Foliage: Trifoliate (three leaves grouped together), oval, pointed, toothed, green leaves.
Flowers: Small, white to light pink, 5 petal flowers bloom April through August.
Fruits: Small purple to black edible berries.
Bark: Slender green to purple brown stems with thorns.
Natural Habitat: Found in dense woods and thickets.
Why is it good for my garden? Pacific Blackberry makes a good ground cover for an area that you do not travel though much. Delicious small blackberries are great for eating or baking. This plant is enjoyed by wildlife as well.
