Why is it good for my garden? Salmonberries are among the first berries to come out for the season and are delicious to snack on. Jams, jellies, and baked goods can incorporate these berries if you don’t end up eating them all directly off the bush! Salmonberry works well in shaded rain gardens. This shrub can grow fast and take over an area so make sure you put it in a place that has some space to grow. Salmonberry flowers attract hummingbirds and berries are loved by other birds such as the Hermit Thrush and many other wildlife.
