Height: This evergreen shrub can grow from 5 to 25 ft. tall
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in part sun.
Foliage: Large, thick, leathery, oblong green leaves.
Flowers: Large showy light pink to light purplish flowers bloom May through July.
Bark: New growth is a light green color and the older stems are gray brown to brown.
Natural Habitat: Found in moist woods from sea level to mountains.
Why is it good for my garden? Pacific rhododendron is a great evergreen shrub to put in a partly shaded area. They can be used for hedges or just as a single plant. Rhododendrons support lots of pollinators.
