Height: This deciduous shrub can grow from 1 to 6 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Alternate, lobes, toothed, green leaves.
Flowers: Small, white, 5 petaled flowers form in a ball at the end of branches and bloom June through July.
Bark: Brown red bark that peels.
Natural Habitat: Canyons and hills, to forests.
Why is it good for my garden? Mallow ninebark is smaller then Pacific ninebark but still has the same attractive bark and white flowers that bring pollinators in.
