Height: This perennial can grow up to 4 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in a dry to well drained soil in full sun.
Foliage: Opposite, long oval shaped, thick, dark green, leaves.
Flowers: Trumpet shaped, purple to lavender flowers form in clusters and flower July and August.
Natural Habitat: Commonly found in open rocky areas.
Why is it good for my garden? Davidson's penstemon is a great plant for a short mat of beautiful color in a rock garden or dry flower bed and will bring in all sorts of pollinators.
