Height: This evergreen shrub can grow from 1 to 3 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Opposite, oblong, shiny, dark green, leathery, toothed leaves.
Flowers: Tiny, maroon, 4 petal, fragrant, flowers bloom April through June.
Bark: Reddish brown bark.
Natural Habitat: Found from the coast to the mountains.
Why is it good for my garden? Great compact evergreen for small areas.
