Height: This perennial can grow from 6 to 12 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained to dry soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Long, lance shaped, dark green, grass like blades grow in bunches out of the ground.
Flowers: Purple, 6 petaled, flower with yellow center blooms March though June. One of the earliest flowering perennials.
Natural Habitat: Found from coastal bluffs to prairies to forests.
Why is it good for my garden? Grasswidows is a great little perennial to add to your flower beds along with other bulbs or in a rock garden. Brings in pollinators and supports the early pollinators since it blooms so early.
