Height: This deciduous vining plant can grow to from 3 to 6 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in part sun.
Foliage: Opposite oval shaped green leaves.
Flowers: Purple trumpet shaped flowers form in pairs in June through July.
Fruits: Bright red to blackish berries.
Natural Habitat: Found in open dense woods from the coast to the mountains.
Why is it good for my garden? Purple flowered honeysuckle is a great vine to have with the bright flowers that attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators.
