Height: This perennial can grow to 1 foot tall.

Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil, full sun to full shade areas.

Foliage: Two oblong, thick, green leaves with brown to burgundy modeling grow from base.

Flowers: Six petal, white flower grows out of burgundy colored stock and opens facing the ground with the petals curling up wards. Yellow center. Blooms March through May.

Natural Habitat: Found in prairies and woodlands at lower elevations.

Why is it good for my garden? This pretty perennial that grows from a bulb is a great splash of color to many areas. Bees like this perennial.
