Height: This perennial can grow from 4 to 7 inches tall.

Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil full to part sun areas.

Foliage: Two, oblong, thick, spotted, green leaves grow from base.

Flowers: Six petal, dark to light purple on outside and white to yellow on inside of flower that grows out of stock and opens facing the ground with the petals curling up wards. Blooms March through August.

Natural Habitat: Usually found in Oregon.

Why is it good for my garden? This pretty perennial that grows from a bulb called corm is a great splash of color to many areas.
