Height: This perennial can grow from 4 to 7 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil full to part sun areas.
Foliage: Two to three oblong, thick, green leaves grow from base.
Flowers: Six petal, yellow flower grows out of stock and opens facing the ground with the petals curling up wards. Blooms March through August.
Natural Habitat: Usually found at snow line or timberline.
Why is it good for my garden? This pretty perennial that grows from a bulb called corm is a great splash of color to many areas.
