Why is it good for my garden? This cheery native will add some bright yellow sunshine to your garden during spring and summer and is great for sunny and well-drained gardens and might be the perfect flower for that spot just out of reach of irrigation in your garden. These dazzling flowers generally bloom for a while and attract many beneficial insects, including butterflies. Otherwise, this plant could do well pulled back under the protection of house eaves or porch overhang during wetter months.
