Height: This clumping perennial sedge can grow from 1 to 5 feet tall.

Habitat: Grows best in dry to well draining soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Green, soft leaves extend out of clumps.

Flowers (Inflorescence): Yellow spikes flower June through August.

Fruits: This sedge produces seeds.

Natural Habitat: Found in open areas and prairies in open areas.
