Height: This shrub can grow from 1 to 12 ft. tall and can spread from roots underground.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained to dry area in full sun.
Foliage: Alternate, silvery, scruffy leaves.
Flowers: Small, fragrant, green to yellow flowers bloom June through July.
Bark: Grayish red bark.
Natural Habitat: Found along rivers and scrublands.
Why is it good for my garden? With the silvery leaves this can add color contrast to your garden.
