Height: This sedge forms solid clumps up to 3 ft tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist areas with full sun to full shade.
Foliage: Course, slender, light green blades.
Flowers (Inflorescence): Large, course, yellow-green flower head is found at the end of a three sided stock.
Fruits: This sedge produces seed.
Natural Habitat: Found in wet lowlands.
Why is it good for my garden? Great for areas that are in shade and wet. Flower heads are very distinctive and attractive. This sedge supports lots of birds and butterflies.
