Height: This clumping perennial sedge can grow up to 2 feet tall.
Habitat: Grows best in sandy or loamy soil in full sun.
Foliage: Light green, soft leaves extend out of clumps.
Flowers (Inflorescence): Brown to black spikes flower April through July.
Fruits: This sedge produces seeds.
Natural Habitat: Found in open areas and around stream banks.
