Height: This perennial grows from 1 to 3 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part shade.
Foliage: Light green, toothed, lobed leaves.
Flowers: Small, fragrant, white to purple clusters of flowers form at the end of stems in April through July and are followed by bright red fruit.
Natural Habitat: Grows in moist woods and along stream banks.
Why is it good for my garden? Pretty plant for a wooded or dappled shade area. Warning, berries are poisonous for human consumption.
