Product Details

Native evergreen tree, to 200 ft tall. Thin bark, breaking up into scales. Prefers full shade to part sun, well-drained soils.

Height: This evergreen tree can grow to 200 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Sharp, blue green needles form all the way around the branches.

Fruits: Reddish brown to yellow long oval shaped cones.

Bark: Thin brown bark that break up into scales.

Natural Habitat: Found mostly along the coast to moist valleys.

Why is it good for my garden? Sitka Spruce is a fine ornamental conifer for landscaping. Due to its size, Sitka spruce are best suited for very large yards or may be a good choice in waterfront locations where a large tree is needed close to the tides.
