Why is it good for my garden? Serviceberry attracts birds, butterflies and lots of other pollinators to the garden. Serviceberry provides brilliance to the garden 3 out of the 4 seasons with wonderful blooming flowers followed by berries and leaves that will add color to your yard in the fall. The edible fruit can be eaten raw or prepared in a variety of ways and is said to have nutritional value similar to the content of blueberries. Serviceberry works well in partly sunny rain gardens. Cedar Waxwing love the fruit of the serviceberry.
